Later, we ordered room service from this same restaurant, simply out of necessity, because there are very limited choices in Princeville and driving to other areas of the island wasn't practical for us at that time. I only ordered the risotto, it was filling and excellent. My partner was really hungry and ordered another steak; he was very happy with this steak and it was cooked the way he ordered it.
We went for the New Year's Eve 5 course wine pairing dinner and loved every minute of it. They were very busy but the service and attention we received was still very personal. Bobby was our waiter and we asked not to be rushed. He took his time and paced the wine and servings perfectly.
Breakfast buffet is great, but outside patio has too much noise from nearby HVAC units.
The first experience was disappointing. We both ordered steaks that were so rare, we had to send them back. I also ordered the Honshimegi Risotto (I overheard a lady ordering only this as take out; she was commenting to her friend how great it was). Wow was this risotto outstanding. The wait staff were rude and curt, especially when we took issue with the totally undercooked meat. We noticed that two other tables also sent their steaks back with the same complaints.
4 stars because of the rude wait staff and first experience, otherwise, 5 stars.
Best food on the island! Cool cozy location. Dinner was fabulous. Filet, lobster tail, and wine were all amazing. Excellent service!
We ate here twice, we stayed at the Westin, and this restaurant is in their resort.
