You cannot beat the views, course quality, and service of this golf club at a very reasonable price.
Wow. What an experience. The friendly service, the views, the lunch, everything was perfect. Everyone at Makai was well-trained and professional. Never had I had such a fun experience at a golf course. Even their technology integration worked seamlessly. The carts were equipped with GPS touch screens giving us a wealth of information (distance and shape) and the ability to order a lunch (between front and back nine) at the 8th hole. We took advantage of that and when we finished the front nine, two delicious chicken paninis loaded with pesto were waiting for us. Ocean and mountain views were breathtaking. We saw Queen's Bath and the waterfalls on the mountain, plus gorgeous wildlife everywhere. I've never seen so many interesting-looking birds, roosters, geese, etc. Impressive, all of it.
Woods 9 not well maintained, but priced accordingly. 18-hole course much better.
WOW. What more can I say? My husband and I LOVED playing this course while we were visiting Kauai for our honeymoon. The tee boxes were like butter, the service was incredible, and the views were unbeatable. If you only have time for 9-holes, go for the FRONT NINE. Otherwise, you don't want to miss the entire course. We felt like we were in golf heaven as the course staff offered FREE, fresh pineapple throughout our game. It was one of the best things we did on our trip!
Great golf course, incredible views, not ridiculously over-priced for a resort course. It takes a while to get used to the Paspalam grass green but they putting true and there is no grain like the Bermuda grass green.
