Several of their food chillers were off, people were nice, prices were fairly high... However it's Hawaii, and there are not really any other food stores nearby... So it is what it is...
Surprising find for great casual food in a supermarket. The poke bowl for 6.99 is a great deal. The lunch plate is also nicely priced especially for Hawaiian. Poke is fresh and tasty, much better than anything on the mainland.
4 stars just for prices. Otherwise 5 stars. Has most of what you need. Great Poke and sushi which I could actually live on. VERY overpriced on just about all Items, but hey, you're probably on vacation. About the same very high prices as Safeway and all the other stores on Kauaii. Only place on the island cheaper( a little) is Costco in Lihue.
Excellent supermarket. Picked up some Ahi poke, mortadella, hair gel, cooking oil, Pecorino cheese, Jack Daniels, wine, soda. Pretty much everything you need is in this store. If I run out of sunblock, I know where to go. They have lots of prepared foods, produce, chips (even taro and pita chips), hummus, Italian charcuterie. What more do you want?
Great variety! Also good for picking up small gifts of the food nature. Came in several times while staying nearby for a week.
