Stayed here with a group of friends I 2010 and had a great time. Great house with lots of toys for adults and kids.
I really feel sorry for people who commit to renting their homes via companies such as this one, not knowing how poorly they are being represented behind the scenes. I was on the island looking for a home to buy and needed a place to rent untill I find a home. I contacted Glenn from the website where he gives both his cell phone and email to be contacted. I asked for a place I Iiked, he said it was booked. I asked for another one, also asking for him to make any other suggestions and wandering why he does not want my business as to get information was like trying to pull teeth. He wrote back; saying he does not do business on cell phone and that I need to apply and credit needs to be pulled before he basically has the time of day to deal with me. BEFORE I even find a home to rent????? I have rented many times and the way it works is first company finds home, cause they are willing to do their job, then if one had decided to rent - credit is pulled and proof of funds are released.

And when I said; "Nevermind" due to level of rudeness I recieved - on the text, he responded "Obviously you don't have the money"! Without knowing anything or bothering to find out by making a simple call to me. So he lost a client with a potential to pay $10,000 + a month for rental. He had no clue of my budget and lost business with assumptions, laziness and an unproffesional attitude. Not to mention any potential listing of my newly bought home for rental in the future. Too bad. But whom I feel bad for are the people who list their homes with such a company. Ofcourse I went on to see rentals with normal proceedures and was able to find one I liked to stay for a month at vacation rentals prices. House Of Dreams Kauai provided us a beachfront rental on Hanalei Bay this past Winter. This was our second rental with them. The house was as promised and all our expectations were met. The owner Glenn has knowledge of the homes down to the smallest details and has made accurate recommendations for us both times. They are always quick to respond and show a genuine interest in the quality of our family vacation. Their Concierge Service even set up the home ahead of time so that we did not have to do any food shopping. This was a great feature after a long day of traveling. We highly recommend booking a Kauai vacation rental with House Of Dreams. We plan on returning again.
